The following six minute vid is why I will go to the polls--in order to spoil my ballot in objection to two flavors of status quo:

Thanks to my Bud Scott Sandridge for well encapsulating my beliefs about our corrupt system with this vid embedded in my own Shoutlife guestbook. I should say I've seen no evidence that 9-11 was an inside job, but all the rest is straight out of my fiction. It's Orwellian predictions keep coming true--did you see the CNN clips about the USA giving away it's sovereignty? Flashpoint's timeline. Again. Scary. 80

A 'No-Vote' is a vote for WHOEVER wins.

I vote for the candidates that break the fewest commandments! Wink

{I first look at how they treat the unseen citizens.}

Spoiling a ballot to show objection is like a student tearing up homework to object to the assignment or a driver tearing up a speeding ticket in protest. What does it accomplish?

It may make you feel better temporarily but consequences follow nevertheless.

Sometimes life does not offer great choices, but some choices are better than others and one can make the best of a less than optimal situation.

There are always other parties on the ballot, if you're upset about the current major party candidates. Libertarian, for example. Giving them your vote of confidence by voting for them will have minimal effect, but better than having an informed voter not voting at all.

Just my opinion.

Terry

The poll workers have to rubber-band paper copies together. If enough of us who are fed up with a great free social system ruined by an unchecked profiteering free-market greed of Rockefeller proportions mangle our ballots as a symbol that this won't be stood for, the message will be inherent.
Just a form of non-violent protest, as long as we're still allowed. I fear my daughter will live to see the day when such will not be tolerated. I fear I will live that long.

Amen.
I can't stand not going to the polls. Humans shed their blood for our right to do so. Might be the Eagle Scout in me but I take it very seriously.
