Sorry about the delay.

Here is a new story for you to enjoy.

"The Happening"
by Valerie L. Smith

In an abandoned city where life seems to have fled more quickly than the rats and prayer is as rare as the rain, it would appear there could be no happy ending. But something’s just been carried in on the breeze; something that will change this place forever.

Jet was cool. Whether man or beast, he made the story. And Molly was the perfect straightman (woman? female? uhh, probably shouldn't use the other word). Anyway, the dialogue between the two was very good.

I enjoyed this story as well. Creative take on a familiar "saved by an angel" theme - but don't let that deter the prospective reader from giving this piece a shot. The writing is solid, the plot developed, and the characters... memorable! Smile (And you won't be able to guess the outcome.) Congrats to the author.
