So I'm trying to figure out how to run the Match-That-Artwork contest again with limited resources, and my preferred approach is to limit the contest to authors 18 years old and under.

One of the previous contest entrants, while fully accepting that this is my own choice to make, feels that it would be a bit unfair.

I was just wondering how the 18-and-under folks here feel about that. Is it unjust to exclude adults from a contest? Or does it even out the inherent injustice of making teenagers compete with adults in the first place?
